Description
This medium is used for the fluorogenic detection of Escherichia coli in food, milk, and water.
Formula:
Yeast Extract 3g
Enzymatic Digest of Gelatin 7g
Bile Salts Mixture 1.5g
Lactose 10g
Sodium Chloride 5g
Neutral Red 0.03g
Crystal Violet 0.002g
4-Methylumbelliferyl-D-Glucuronide 0.1g
Agar 15g
Final pH: 7.4 ± 0.2 at 25°C
